Martin Medrano is a sound artist and music technologist based in Southern California. His work spans studio recording, live sound, and sound design, with a focus on recording techniques and critical listening across various genres.

After beginning his studies in film at California State University, Long Beach, Martin transferred to CalArts to specialize in music technology and audio production. This background in film continues to inform his approach to visual media, ranging from lighting design for live performance to technical direction for multi-camera web broadcasts.

He has experience working in professional recording studios as well as developing his own independent work. His engineering practice includes recording vocals, mixing bands and solo artists, and freelance mastering, with a priority on clarity and tonal originality.

Driven by a deep respect for those who push boundaries, he is interested in collaborating with musicians and visual artists who care deeply about their sound and are excited to explore its potential.
